Blue Bird Real Estate "Cheerfulness, happiness, prosperity, good health, hearth and home."

"All I can strive to be is the absolute best possible version of myself."

We have a love affair…with our home town!!

Holden is an historic small town of about 2,500 people located primarily in Johnson County, MO.  For the most part it is an agricultural community but because of our close proximity to Kansas City, we have “commuters” that work in the city but want to live in “small town America”.  Holden is just 9 miles south of U.S. Highway 50 which runs east and west across Missouri.  The downtown district sits at the intersection of Highway 131 and Highway 58.

Our office is located in the downtown historical district in a building that we completely remodeled from top to bottom. It was the old Chamber of Commerce building and while the restoration was exhausting it was a project that we are blessed to have completed to add to the charm of our town. We enjoy people coming by to look at the completion of the building and really enjoy our new place! Come by and see us anytime.... We love people to pop in and say hi!

When our sign went up many people wanted to know “Why Blue Bird Real Estate”?  We were driving to Jefferson City and brain storming for a new name and out of the blue someone said “how about Blue Bird”?  We all tried the name on seeing if it “rolled off our tongues”.  By the time we reached Jefferson City, it was Blue Bird all the way!  We have since learned that the blue bird is the symbol of cheerfulness, happiness, prosperity, good health, hearth and home and a renewal of springtime.  The blue bird is also the Missouri State bird.  We couldn't be happier with the name!!!

I moved from Lee's Summit to Holden in 2004 and fell in love with it's smalltown U.S.A. charm. My husband and I have 5 children. Three have graduated from Holden schools and the last 2 will as well. We appreciate our teachers in the district! All of our children have enjoyed attending Holden schools. I have experience working in the estate sale business and I was also deeply involved in revitalizing downtown Odessa, Missouri. My vision is to keep small towns thriving!

I enjoy the challenge of problem solving through the buying and selling process. Part of our job is to take on your stress so that you don't have to. Being part of a team is so beneficial for our clients because we can all work together to resolve an issues that may occur.
